Suzanne Vega - Luka

My name is Luka
I live on the second floor
I live upstairs from you
Yes I think you've seen me before

If you hear something late at night
Some kind of trouble, some kind of fight
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was

I think it's because I'm clumsy
I try not to talk too loud
Maybe it's because I'm crazy
I try not to act too proud

They only hit until you cry
And after that you don't ask why
You just don't argue anymore
You just don't argue anymore
You just don't argue anymore

Yes I think I'm okay
I walked into the door again
Well, if you ask that's what I'll say
And it's not your business anyway
I guess I'd like to be alone
With nothing broken, nothing thrown

Just don't ask me how I am

Written by Suzanne Vega

Natalie Imbruglia - Big Mistake

Theres no sign on the gate
And theres mud on your face
Dont ya think its time we re-investigate this situation?
Put some fruit on your plate
Youve forgotten how it started.

Close your eyes
Think of all the bubbles of love we made,
And youre down on your knees
Its too late.
Oh dont come crawlin
And you lie by my feet.
What a big mistake.

I see you fallin
Got a buzz in my head
And my flowers are dead.
Cant figure out a way to rectify this situation.
I dont believe what you said
You forgotten how it started

Close your eyes
Think of all the bubbles of love we made
And youre down on your knees
Its too late.
Oh dont come crawlin
And you lie by my feet.
What a big mistake.

I see you fallin
I could sting like a bee.
Careful how you treat me
Baby I dont think Ill accept your sorry invitation.
Close the door as you leave
And you cry over me.
I cant wait.
I feel you stallin
And you try to reach me.
What a big mistake.
I hear you calling.

Written by Natalie Imbruglia & Mark Goldenberg.

Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time

Lying in my bed, I hear the clock ticks, and think of you
Caught up in circles, confusion is nothing new
Flash back, warm night, almost left behind
Suitcase of memories...
Time after

Sometimes you pictured me, I'm walking too far ahead
You're callin' to me, I can't hear what you've said
You said, "Go slow, I fall behind"
The second hand unwinds...

If you're lost, you can look and you will find me,
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you, I'll be waiting,
Time after time

I turn, my picture fades, and darkness has turned to grey
Watching through windows, you're wondering if I'm okay
Secrets, stolen, from deep inside,
The drum beats out of time...

If you're lost, you can look and you will find me,
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you, I'll be waiting,
Time after time

If you're lost, you can look and you will find me,
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you, I will be waiting,
Time after time

Time after time...

Written by Cyndi Lauper & Rob Hyman.

The Killers - Bones

Come with me.

We took a back road.
We're gonna look at the stars.
We took a backroad in my car.
Down to the ocean,
it’s only water and sand
And in the ocean we'll hold hands.

But I don't really like you,
apologetically dressed in the best,
but on a heartbeat glide.

Without an answer,
the thunder speaks for the sky,
and on the cold, wet dirt I cry.
And on the cold, wet dirt I cry.

Don’t you wanna come with me?
Don’t you wanna feel my bones
on your bones?
It's only natural.

A cinematic vision ensued
like the holiest dream.
It's someone's calling?
An angel whispers my name,
but the message relayed is the same:
“Wait till tomorrow, you'll be fine."
But it's gone to the dogs in my mind.
I always hear them when the dead of night
comes calling to save me from this fight.
But they can never wrong this right.

Don't you wanna come with me?
Don't you wanna feel my bones
on your bones?
It's only natural.

Don’t you wanna swim with me?
Don’t you wanna feel my skin
on your skin?
It's only natural.

(Never had a lover) I never had a lover
(Never had soul) I never had soul
(Never had a good time) And I never had a good time
(Never got cold) I never got gold.

Don't you wanna come with me?
Don't you wanna feel my bones
on your bones?
It's only natural.

Don't you wanna swim with me?
Don't you wanna feel my skin
on your skin?
It's only natural.

Don't you wanna come with me?
Don't you wanna feel my bones
on your bones?
It’s only natural.

Come and take a swim with me.
Don't you wanna feel my skin
on your skin?
It’s only natural

No Doubt - It's My Life

It's funny how I find myself
In love with you
If I could buy my reasoning
I'd pay to lose
One half won't do

I've asked myself
How much do you
Commit yourself?

It's my life
Don't you forget
It's my life
It never ends

Funny how I blind myself
I never knew
If I was sometimes played upon
Afraid to lose

Oh, I'd tell myself
What good do you do
Convince myself

Oh, It's my life
Don't you forget
Oh, It's my life
It never ends

And I've asked myself
How much do you
Commit yourself?

It's my life
Don't you forget
Caught in the crowd
It never ends

It's my life
Don't you forget
Caught in the crowd
It never ends

Oh, It's my life...
Don't you forget...
Caught in the crowd...
It never ends

Written by Mark David Hollis & Tim Friese-Greene.

This 1984 song was originally recorded by Talk Talk, the 80s British group, but as I didn't like their video, I have chosen this version No Doubt did in 2003 for their compilation The Singles 1993-2003, that turned to be the last cd of the a group.
